When you get right down to it, this trip was about Mary Anne. Before her death we talked about what life might be like when she was gone. We both felt that international travel with the boys would be great to continue, not only to visit my friends in England, but also her friends in France. M. Rizo and his family (Marlene, Audette, Patrick, Bernard, and others) are wonderful people and they treat us like family so reconnecting with them after Mary Anne’s passing was important. This trip exceeded expectations, which were high, in all respects. The boys were excellent throughout our travels and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Audette and Bernard are planning to visit us sometime in the summer of 2011 and I hope they can make the journey happen. Their potential visit is further motivation for me to continue my French and I restart my lessons on Tuesday July 27th. We plan to return to England and France in the summer of 2012.
