We started the day with a swim in the Mediterranean and eventually made our way to Antibe to visit the Picasso Museum. I’m not a fan of Picasso but since he is widely acknowledged as a (if not the) master artist of the 20th century I wanted to see some of his art. Plus, I’ve never seen his work other than pictures. It was a good exhibit plus the museum also included work from other artists.
A view from the museum.
After the museum we stopped in Nice to have a traditional Nice meal of socca which is sort of a thick crepe. A great meal and the restaurant was in the old town section of Nice.
We headed back to Menton around 7pm and on the way stopped for a terrific view of Monte Carlo. We had dinner around 9pm. M. Rizo is a huge John Wayne fan so we watched “The Quiet Man” which was a great time.

The French Riviera is where exiled Romans went to live – you kind of see why.
